Troubleshoot Grass Not Converting to Dirt

If you're walking through grass but not seeing any terrain transformation, several settings may need adjustment.

Verify the Mod is Active

Confirm that Once Upon A Stroll is properly installed and loaded. Check your mod list in the main menu to ensure it appears.

Check Player Pathways are Enabled

Open the configuration file and verify that player pathways are enabled (set to true). By default this should be active, but it may have been disabled.

Review Weight Settings

If pathways are enabled but you see no effect, the weight value may be set too low. Increase the player weight value to make transformations more frequent and visible.

Examine Your Terrain

Confirm you're actually walking on grass blocks. The mod only affects grass terrain—walking on dirt, stone, or other blocks won't trigger transformation. Also ensure you're moving; standing still won't create paths.

Reload Configuration

After making changes to the config file, fully reload your world rather than just reopening it to ensure new settings take effect.
