Reduce Repetitive Sounds Without Muting Them Completely

Use the Cull Command

Instead of silencing a sound entirely, you can limit how often it plays using the cull feature. This is ideal for sounds that are useful but become annoying when frequent—like block breaking, footsteps, or mod notifications.

Use:

`

/omegamute cull <sound_identifier> <interval>

`

The interval controls how many seconds must pass before the sound can play again. For example:

`

/omegamute cull minecraft:block.stone.break 2

`

This allows the stone-breaking sound to play once every 2 seconds, filtering out rapid repetitions.

Check and Adjust

Test the result by triggering the sound repeatedly. If the interval is too long or too short, use the same cull command with a different interval value to adjust. Use /omegamute query to see all active culled sounds and their intervals.
