Find and Mute a Specific Sound

Identify the Sound

Start the /omegamute listen command while in-game. This activates a listener that monitors all active sounds around you. Perform the action that produces the sound you want to mute—whether that's a mob sound, block interaction, or mod-added audio. Watch your chat or log output for the sound identifier to appear.

Mute the Sound

Once you've identified the sound name, use:

`

/omegamute mute <sound_identifier>

`

For example, if you see minecraft:entity.pig.ambient, you can mute it with:

`

/omegamute mute minecraft:entity.pig.ambient

`

The sound will stop playing immediately. If you want to mute an entire category—like all pig sounds—use a partial identifier:

`

/omegamute mute .pig.

`

Verify Your Changes

Use /omegamute query to see a list of all currently muted sounds and confirm your change was applied.
