Troubleshooting Shield Animation Issues

Animation Not Appearing

If the old shield animation is not displaying after installing the mod, verify that the mod is properly loaded. Check your mods list to confirm the Old Shield Animation Mod appears and is enabled.

Checking Mod Status

Open your mods menu and search for the mod by name. If it shows as active, the mod is loaded. If it appears disabled or is missing entirely, reinstall or re-enable it. Some mod loaders require a game restart after enabling mods.

Conflicting Mods

Other mods that modify animations or third-person rendering may conflict with this mod. If you have multiple animation-related mods installed, try disabling them one at a time to identify conflicts. Animation mods typically do not work well together.

Testing the Animation

Equip a shield and switch to third-person view using the camera toggle. Look at the arm holding the shield. If the animation still appears as the newer version, try restarting your game completely. Clear your shader cache if you use shaders, as they can sometimes interfere with animation rendering.
