Navigating Safely Across Bridges and High Areas
Use Blocks to Create Handholds
The ancient bridges lack railings and can be treacherous. Carry blocks with you and place them strategically as you cross. Create a low wall on one side as you move, giving you something to hold onto mentally and providing a barrier against accidental falls.
Mark Your Path
Place torches or distinctive blocks along bridges and high pathways so you can easily find your way back. This is especially useful when exploring multiple towers or when visibility is poor due to fog or foliage.
Avoid Walking at Night
Mobs spawn in the ruined fortress, particularly in darker areas. Explore during daylight when possible, or bring plenty of torches to light your surroundings. Well-lit paths are safer paths.
Take the Long Way Around
If a bridge or path feels too dangerous, look for alternative routes. The fortress has multiple ways to reach most areas. Walking at ground level or through interior passages is slower but far safer than attempting risky bridge crossings when you're unfamiliar with the layout.
Carry Healing Items
Keep food and healing potions in your inventory at all times. Falls happen—be prepared to recover quickly.
