Growing and Using Baobab Trees and Fruit

Finding and Growing Baobab

Baobab trees generate in the mod's savanna-like and dry biomes, recognizable by their massive, thick trunks and sparse canopy. Break Baobab Leaves to collect Baobab Saplings, then plant them on dirt, grass, or sand with adequate light. Baobabs are large trees, so give them plenty of vertical and horizontal space — they won't grow if blocked. Bonemeal speeds up growth but the tree still needs room to expand.

Baobab Fruit and Wood Products

Baobab Fruit drops from the tree's leaves or can be harvested directly from fruiting blocks. It's a mod food item — eat it raw for a quick snack, or check the mod's crafting recipes for processed uses. The wood is just as versatile as other mod trees: craft Baobab Planks from Baobab Logs, then build Baobab Stairs, Slabs, Fences, Fence Gates, Doors, Trapdoors, Buttons, Pressure Plates, Signs, Hanging Signs, Bookshelves, and a Baobab Crafting Table. Baobab Boats and Baobab Boats with Chest work like any other boat for water travel. The thick trunk shape makes Baobab Wood great for statement pillars and desert-themed builds.
