Crafting Mod Boats

Every wood type in Oh The Biomes We've Got has its own boat. Craft an Aspen Boat by arranging Aspen Planks in the standard boat recipe shape, and do the same with Baobab Planks for a Baobab Boat. The mod also adds boats for other wood types like Blue Enchanted, Cika, Cypress, and Ebony — each uses its matching planks. Add a chest to any boat recipe to upgrade it into a Boat with Chest, which stores items while you travel.

Using Boats for Exploration

Mod boats behave like vanilla boats: place them on water, right-click to board, and use them to cross oceans, rivers, and lakes quickly. The Boat with Chest variant is invaluable for long expeditions — load it with food, torches, and spare tools before setting out. Different wood types are purely cosmetic, so pick the color that matches your base's aesthetic. If you're building a dock or harbor, craft several boats in advance and park them at your pier. Boats break into their item form when punched, so you can recover them easily if you get stranded.
