Enable and Customize Colored Lighting Effects
Open Shader Configuration
Access the OD Horizon Shaders menu using your configured hotkey (default Shift + O). The menu remains open while you play, allowing live preview of changes.
Locate Colored Light Settings
Find options related to colored lighting or light sources. These control how different blocks emit tinted light:
- Colored Light Intensity: Adjusts how vibrant colored light appears (e.g., red from lava, blue from water).
- Light Propagation: Determines how far colored light spreads from its source.
- Enable/Disable Colored Lights: Toggle the entire feature on or off.
Customize Per-Source (if available)
Some configurations allow per-block adjustments. Lava, glowstone, lanterns, and other light sources may have individual sliders to control their color saturation and brightness.
Test in Different Environments
Visit areas with multiple light sources—caves with lava, underwater structures with glowstone, or forests with lanterns. Observe how colored light blends and interacts with shadows. Adjust intensity until the effect feels natural without overwhelming vanilla aesthetics.
