Configuring Ocean Floor Mod Spawn Rates and Patch Sizes

Adjusting Clay, Sand, and Dirt Patches

Ocean Floor Mod generates patches of clay, sand, and dirt across the floors of Ocean and Deep Ocean biomes, replacing the gravel-heavy default terrain. Each material has its own pair of config options: a chance value that controls how often a patch attempts to spawn, and a size value that controls how large that patch can grow.

To tune the underwater landscape, open the config file and edit the entries for clay, sand, and dirt. Raising a chance value makes that material appear more frequently; raising a size value makes individual patches larger. Lowering them does the opposite, giving you sparser or smaller deposits.

Because the mod works across all ocean temperatures and extends its changes into deeper ocean layers, your settings affect both shallow and deep waters. If you want sandier shorelines, increase the sand values. If you prefer clay-rich seafloors, raise the clay values instead. The dirt options let you add softer, darker patches between them. Reload or restart as your setup requires for changes to take effect.
