Customize Dark Theme Colors for Your Preference
Accessing Theme Files
The Obsidian Interface Resource Pack uses texture files to define its dark color palette. To customize colors, you'll need to access the resource pack folder on your computer.
Navigate to your .minecraft/resourcepacks/ directory and locate the Obsidian Interface folder. Inside, you'll find image files that control the appearance of buttons, backgrounds, and menu panels.
Editing Colors
Open the relevant texture files using an image editor like GIMP or Photoshop. The dark grey tones used throughout menus are defined in these PNG files. You can adjust the hex color values or use your editor's color replacement tools to shift the entire palette toward lighter or darker shades.
Common files to modify include:
- Menu background textures
- Button overlay files
- Panel and container backgrounds
After editing, save your changes and reload Minecraft. The resource pack will apply your custom colors immediately. Test across different screens—inventory, crafting tables, and the main menu—to ensure consistency. If colors look off, verify your edits didn't corrupt the file format.
