Optimize Performance While Using Tornado Effects
Reduce Shader Complexity
Tornado ray-marching is computationally expensive. In Shader Options, look for:
- Ray-march quality or steps: Lower this value to reduce per-pixel calculations
- Volumetric cloud resolution: Decrease resolution for faster rendering
- Tornado render distance: Limit how far into the distance tornadoes are calculated
Lower Base Game Settings
Reduce strain on your GPU by adjusting Minecraft's native graphics:
- Decrease render distance to 12–16 chunks
- Turn off or lower cloud height settings
- Disable fancy graphics if using integrated graphics
- Reduce particles and entity shadows
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug overlay to watch FPS while flying through the sky. If frames drop below your target, disable tornado effects temporarily or reduce one complexity setting at a time until performance stabilizes.
Test Different Times of Day
Tornado rendering may perform differently depending on sky brightness. Test at sunrise, noon, and night to find the least demanding conditions for your hardware.
