Using the Nuit Interop Mod

How It Works

The Nuit Interop Mod bridges older custom sky formats and Nuit, the multiloader successor to FabricSkyBoxes. When you load a world or resource pack, the mod detects OptiFine and MCPatcher skyboxes and converts them to Nuit's format automatically at runtime, so existing skies keep working without manual edits.

Conversion Behavior

Conversion is smart about what it finds. If a native Nuit or FabricSkyBoxes skybox is already present, the mod skips conversion and uses that instead, avoiding conflicts or duplicate skies.

Controls

The mod includes flexible options for managing conversions. You can disable native skyboxes in favor of converted ones, which is useful when you want an older pack's skies to take priority. There are also testing overrides for checking how conversions behave before committing to them.

Legacy Packs

Support for legacy FabricSkyBoxes packs is planned, aimed at giving players a gradual migration path toward Nuit.
