Exploring Deep Ocean Trenches and Caves Underwater

Navigating Deep Water Safely

NoUnderwaterFog Shaders makes exploring deep underwater caves and trenches much safer by eliminating the disorienting fog that normally obscures your surroundings. You can now see hazards, mobs, and navigation landmarks clearly.

Exploration Strategy

1. Bring a water breathing potion or helmet to avoid drowning during extended exploration.

2. Carry torches or place light sources as you descend — the shader keeps lighting intact, so torches still work normally.

3. Swim slowly and deliberately into deep areas, watching for hostile mobs like drowned and guardians that are now visible from farther away.

4. Map your route mentally or place marker blocks; clear visibility means you can see your path back to the surface.

5. Bring building blocks to create air pockets if you need to surface quickly or take a break.

Safety Notes

Guardians in ocean monuments deal heavy damage, so keep your distance or wear protective armor. The shader doesn't change mob behavior — only your ability to see them. Deep trenches can extend very far down; bring extra supplies and don't venture too far from escape routes.
