Set Up a Notification When Your Equipment is About to Break

Configure Durability Alerts

Equipment durability notifications help you avoid losing tools mid-task. Open your NotifMod settings and locate the equipment durability threshold option.

Steps

1. Access the mod's configuration menu from your settings

2. Find the "Equipment durability low" notification option

3. Set your preferred durability threshold (this is the percentage or remaining uses at which you'll be alerted)

4. Choose your alert type: chat message, sound, or both

5. If using sound, select your preferred notification sound from available options

6. Save your settings

Tips

Set the threshold high enough to give you time to repair or replace your tools before they break completely. If you're using mending-enchanted gear, you might set a lower threshold since you can repair while playing. For critical tools like pickaxes or swords, consider enabling both chat and sound alerts so you won't miss the notification during intense activities.

Once configured, the mod will automatically monitor all equipped items and trigger notifications as their durability approaches your set limit.
