Using the Notes Mod

Keeping Notes In-Game

Notes Mod is a client-side mod that adds a working notepad to Minecraft, so you can jot things down without leaving the game or alt-tabbing to another program.

Press N to open the Notes GUI. From there you can see the notes that apply to wherever you currently are, and create or edit notes through the same simple interface.

Notes are saved by scope. You can keep a note tied to a specific world, tied to a specific server, or saved globally so it shows up everywhere. This means notes about one world's builds stay with that world, while general reminders can follow you across all of them.

If a note is important enough that you want it visible while you play, pin it to the HUD. Pinned notes stay on screen instead of hiding behind the GUI, which is handy for coordinates, to-do lists, or reminders you keep forgetting.

Everything happens client-side, so the mod works the same whether you are in singleplayer or on a server.
