Control Particle Visibility and Types

Open Particle Settings

Access your graphics settings menu and locate the particle control panel within Not Enough Vulkan options. This menu gives you granular control over every particle type in your game.

Manage Particle Types

You can control particles from:

  • Vanilla Minecraft sources (explosions, damage, crafting)
  • Environmental effects (rain, snow, dust)
  • Mod-added particles from other installed mods

Each particle type can be toggled individually. This means you can keep some particles visible while hiding others — for example, keeping damage particles but hiding spell effects from magic mods.

Optimize Your Experience

Disabling unnecessary particles improves performance and reduces visual clutter. This is especially helpful if you're running many mods that add their own particle effects. You can also use this feature for aesthetic reasons — hiding rain particles for a cleaner look, or disabling explosion effects for a more peaceful environment. Test different combinations to find what works best for your playstyle and hardware.
