How to Fish for Enchanted Items

Finding Enchanted Gear While Fishing

With Nostalgic Fishing Mod installed, your fishing rod now has a chance to pull up enchanted weapons, tools, and armor—just like in older Minecraft versions.

What You Need

You'll need a basic fishing rod. Any fishing rod works, though a rod with the Lure enchantment will increase your catch rate and help you fish faster.

Fishing Steps

1. Find a body of water (ocean, river, lake, or even a small pool)

2. Cast your line by right-clicking with the fishing rod

4. Reel in by right-clicking again

5. Repeat until you catch an enchanted item

What to Expect

You'll still catch regular fish and junk items, but enchanted gear now appears in the loot pool. The enchantments on caught items vary—you might find tools with Efficiency, weapons with Sharpness, or armor with Protection. Keep fishing in different locations and times for variety in your catches.
