Understand the Damage Camera Effect
What This Mod Changes
When you take damage in vanilla Minecraft, your camera tilts in the direction the hit came from. This directional tilt can be disorienting during combat, especially when attacked from multiple angles or in chaotic situations.
The Non Directional Damage Tilt Fix Mod removes this directional component. Instead of your view lurching toward the source of damage, you'll experience a uniform camera shake that occurs regardless of where the hit originated.
How to Observe the Difference
1. With the mod active: Take damage from any source (mobs, players, fall damage). Notice your camera shakes but doesn't tilt toward the attacker.
2. Compare to vanilla: If you temporarily disable the mod, you'll see the camera tilt noticeably in the direction of incoming damage.
This change makes combat feel more predictable and less nauseating, especially during intense PvP or when surrounded by enemies. Your view remains centered on your crosshair, improving aim consistency and reducing motion sickness for sensitive players.
