How to Remove Distance Fog and See Farther in NoFog Mod

What the mod does to distance fog

NoFog Mod strips out the vanilla distance fog that normally hides the edge of your loaded world. With fog gone, everything inside your render distance is fully visible, so a small render distance suddenly looks much larger. This is the main reason low-end PC players install it.

Steps to get the effect

1. Install the mod and launch the game so it loads with your chosen mod loader.

2. Open your video settings and set render distance to something your PC can handle, such as a low chunk value. The mod shines at small distances.

3. Enter a world and look toward the horizon. You should see terrain extending all the way to the chunk boundary instead of fading into gray.

4. If you still see fog, check that no other mod or resource pack is re-adding fog, and confirm NoFog is actually enabled in your mod list.

What to expect

You will see the literal end of the loaded world as a hard cutoff rather than a soft fade. That is normal and is the trade-off for the extra visible distance. If the cutoff bothers you, raise render distance slightly or accept it as the cost of the mod.
