How to Disable Water, Lava, and Powder Snow Fog with NoFog Mod

Why these fogs matter

Vanilla Minecraft tints your screen when your camera is inside water, lava, or powder snow. NoFog Mod removes these overlays along with distance fog, giving you clear vision in every fluid and in powder snow.

Checking each case

1. Dive into a body of water and look around. With the mod active, the blue-green tint should be gone and you should see clearly underwater.

2. Swim into lava. The thick orange overlay should no longer block your view, though lava still damages you, so bring fire protection or potions.

3. Walk into powder snow. The whiteout effect should be removed, letting you see the surrounding area while inside it.

4. If any of these still show fog, another mod may be overriding NoFog. Disable conflicting fog or shader mods and retest.

Practical uses

Clear underwater vision helps with ocean monuments, shipwrecks, and cave diving. Clear lava vision is risky but useful for spotting ores or paths in the Nether. Clear powder snow vision helps you navigate snowy biomes without losing your bearings. Remember the mod only changes visuals, not damage or movement penalties.
