Using a Carved Pumpkin as a Helmet Without Losing Visibility

Why Wear a Pumpkin at All

A carved pumpkin is a legitimate helmet. It can be worn on your head and provides a small amount of armor protection, and it is often used in survival for its look or as a cheap early-game head slot item. The only real downside has always been the blurry overlay it forces on your screen. With the No Pumpkin Blur pack active, that downside disappears, so you can treat the pumpkin like any other helmet.

Practical Steps

1. Craft or find a carved pumpkin by using shears on a placed pumpkin.

2. Pick it up and equip it in your helmet slot.

3. With the pack enabled, walk, sprint, and fight normally. Your field of view stays clear.

4. If you want to swap back to a normal helmet, just move the pumpkin out of the slot.

Things to Keep in Mind

A carved pumpkin still occupies the helmet slot, so you cannot wear it alongside another helmet. It also does not provide the same protection as iron, diamond, or netherite helmets, so treat it as a cosmetic or early-game option rather than endgame gear. The pack only changes the visual overlay, not the armor value or durability behavior.
