How to Remove the Pumpkin Blur Effect in Minecraft
What This Pack Actually Changes
The No Pumpkin Blur resource pack targets one specific visual overlay: the dark, vignette-style blur that appears across your screen when you equip a carved pumpkin on your head. It does not remove the pumpkin itself, change its model, or alter any gameplay mechanics. Once the pack is active, wearing a carved pumpkin gives you the same clear view you would have with no helmet at all.
Steps to Get a Clear View
1. Make sure the resource pack is enabled in your active pack list. Open Options, then Resource Packs, and confirm it sits in the "Selected" column on the right.
2. Drag it above any other packs that might also touch the pumpkin overlay, so its changes are not overwritten.
3. Equip a carved pumpkin by placing it in your helmet slot, either by right-clicking while holding it or by moving it into the armor slot in your inventory.
4. Look around and confirm the blur is gone. Your peripheral vision should now be fully usable.
If the Blur Is Still There
Check that no other resource pack is loaded above this one, since a higher pack can override the pumpkin overlay texture. Also verify the pack is actually applied and not just downloaded. If you use a mod loader, confirm no separate mod is re-adding a pumpkin overlay on top of the resource pack.
