Fixing the Pumpkin Blur Not Disappearing After Installing the Pack
Confirm the Pack Is Loaded Correctly
If the blur is still showing, the most common cause is that the pack is not actually active. Open Options, then Resource Packs. The pack must appear in the right-hand "Selected" list, not the left-hand "Available" list. If it is on the left, click it to move it over, then click Done.
Check Pack Order
Resource packs stack from top to bottom, and the topmost pack wins when two packs change the same file. If you have another pack that also modifies the pumpkin overlay, drag No Pumpkin Blur above it in the selected list. This ensures its version of the overlay texture takes priority.
Rule Out Conflicting Mods
Some mods add their own pumpkin-related overlays or helmet rendering. If you run a mod loader, temporarily disable other mods that touch helmets, HUDs, or overlays and test again. If the blur returns only when a specific mod is enabled, that mod is overriding the resource pack.
Reload and Retest
After changing pack order, press F3+T to reload resources, or leave and re-enter the world. Then equip a carved pumpkin and check your view. If it is still blurred, the pack file may be incomplete or corrupted, so re-download it from a trusted source and reapply.
