Accessing Inventory Inside Portals

With No Nether Portal Overlay Mod installed, you can now open your inventory while standing inside a Nether portal block without the purple overlay blocking your view.

Steps

1. Walk into a Nether portal

2. Press your inventory key (default: E)

3. Your inventory opens normally—you can see it clearly without the overlay interfering

4. Organize items, drop things, or prepare for the Nether

5. Close inventory and step through to teleport

Why This Matters

Without the mod, the portal overlay makes it nearly impossible to see your inventory clearly. This mod removes that barrier, letting you make last-minute gear checks or item swaps before entering the Nether. You can also use chat (T) without visual obstruction, making it easier to communicate with other players while waiting at a portal.
