Disable the Portal Overlay Effect

What This Mod Does

No Nether Portal Overlay Mod removes the swirling purple visual effect that appears when you stand inside a Nether portal block. By default, Minecraft displays a full-screen overlay with motion blur and particle effects—this mod eliminates that entirely.

How It Works

Once installed, the mod is active by default. You don't need to configure anything. The next time you walk into a Nether portal, you'll notice the disorienting purple screen is gone.

What Still Happens

The portal will still:

• Transport you to the Nether (or Overworld)
• Play portal sounds
• Show the loading screen if needed
• Allow you to open inventory and chat while standing in it

Only the visual overlay is removed. The teleportation mechanic works exactly as normal. This is especially helpful if you're sensitive to motion blur, flashing effects, or frequent portal travel that causes nausea or eye strain.
