Understanding What the Mod Changes on the Death Screen
What You'll Notice
When you die with No More Score Mod installed, the death screen will appear as normal, but one element is missing: the numerical score display that usually appears below the "You Died!" text.
Why This Matters
In vanilla Minecraft, the score shown on death is based on experience points and time survived. This number can feel out of place in Survival mode, where progression is about building and exploration rather than achieving a high score. Removing it creates a cleaner, less game-like interface that fits Minecraft's sandbox philosophy.
What Stays the Same
All other death screen features remain unchanged:
- The "You Died!" message
- Respawn and title screen buttons
- Your inventory and items (if keepInventory is enabled)
- Any custom death messages from other mods
The mod only hides the score number—it doesn't affect your actual experience points, drops, or any game mechanics. You'll still lose levels and items as normal when you die.
