Keep Mobs From Trampling Your Crops

Understand Mob Trample Protection

This mod protects farmland not just from players, but also from mobs—if those mobs meet the protection conditions.

How it works:

• Mobs wearing armor with Feather Falling enchantment won't trample crops
• Mobs affected by Slow Falling won't trample crops
• Most naturally-spawning mobs won't have these effects, so they can still trample

Prevent Mob Access

Since most mobs lack trample protection, the best strategy is to keep them out entirely.

Steps:

1. Fence your farm with blocks mobs cannot jump over (fences, walls, or 2+ block heights)

2. Light the area well to prevent hostile mob spawning nearby

3. Use gates to control your own access

4. Consider building your farm in a well-lit underground chamber

5. If you breed animals near crops, keep them in separate enclosures

This is more reliable than hoping mobs have the right enchantments, and protects your crops from all types of mob interference.
