Prepare Before Entering Your Farm

If you haven't yet obtained Feather Falling enchantment, you can still protect your crops using potion effects.

Steps:

1. Locate or hunt Phantoms (spawn at night when you haven't slept for 3+ days)

2. Collect Phantom membrane from defeated Phantoms

3. Brew Slow Falling potions at a brewing stand

4. Before entering your farm, drink a Slow Falling potion

5. Work on your crops while the effect is active

Plan Your Farm Layout

While waiting for potions or enchantments, design your farm to minimize trampling risk.

Steps:

1. Create wide pathways between crop rows using non-farmland blocks (wood, stone, etc.)

2. Use raised platforms or stairs to walk above your crops

3. Consider building your farm in a separate area away from your main base

4. Once you obtain Feather Falling, you can transition to a more compact farm design

This approach lets you farm effectively even before securing permanent trample protection.
