How to Make Deaths Less Disorienting for Recording or PvP
Combine both features
This mod has two independent effects: removing the camera tilt and controlling the red overlay. For clean footage or competitive play, tune both together.
1. Rely on the automatic tilt removal — no setup needed. Your camera stays level on death.
2. Shorten the red overlay with /walksyredoverlayduration [num] so the screen clears quickly and you can see the respawn screen or your surroundings sooner.
3. Test by dying in a safe spot, then review the recording to confirm the transition looks the way you want.
Tips for different playstyles
- Recording/streaming: A shorter overlay keeps the red flash from dominating the frame, and the level camera means your last moments are readable.
- PvP: Fast overlay clearing lets you react to the respawn screen without a lingering red tint.
- Hardcore: Keeping a slightly longer overlay can preserve the sense of danger while still removing the tilt.
If something looks wrong
If the tilt returns or the overlay ignores your command, check for conflicting mods that alter the death screen or camera, and confirm the mod is loaded in your current profile. Re-run the command to be sure the value saved.
