Configure Smoothness and Curvature Settings
Adjusting the Shader Options
No Cubes Shaders includes configurable settings to control how rounded your world appears. Access the shader settings through your shader menu (usually Shift+O in most shader loaders).
Key Settings to Modify
Smoothness/Rounding Intensity: This slider controls how aggressively block edges are curved. Higher values create more pronounced rounding, while lower values keep geometry closer to the original cubic shape.
Curvature Radius: Determines how far the smoothing effect extends across block surfaces. Increasing this creates softer, more flowing terrain transitions between adjacent blocks.
Surface Detail: Some versions include options to preserve or enhance texture detail while maintaining smooth geometry. Adjust this if rounded surfaces feel too flat or featureless.
Testing Your Changes
After adjusting settings, move to different terrain types—mountains, caves, and flat plains—to see how your configuration affects each environment. Smoothness that looks good on rolling hills might feel too extreme in tight underground spaces. Fine-tune until the balance between visual appeal and readability suits your preference.
