Understand When the Feather Falling Effect Triggers
Activation Conditions
The feather falling effect doesn't activate in every situation. Understanding when it works helps you farm more efficiently.
When Protection Activates
- Crops must be present - The effect only triggers when you land on farmland that has a crop actively growing on it
- Falling from above - You must be falling or jumping onto the crop block for the effect to apply
- Brief duration - The feather falling lasts only about a second, just long enough to prevent crop trampling
When Protection Does NOT Activate
- Empty farmland blocks (with no crop) will still convert to dirt if trampled
- Walking slowly on crops won't trigger the effect—only jumping or falling does
- The effect is automatic; you don't need to do anything special to activate it
Practical Tip
Design your farm layout with walking paths on dirt or other blocks, and reserve farmland only for planting. This minimizes accidental trampling of empty farmland while the mod protects your growing crops.
