Setting Up a Safe Farm

With No Creeper Grief Mod, creepers no longer destroy blocks when they explode, making them much safer to farm. You can build a compact mob grinder without worrying about structural damage from their blasts.

Building Your Farm

1. Create a spawning platform in a dark area at least 24 blocks away from you. Use slabs, stairs, or other half-blocks to allow creepers to spawn while preventing other mobs.

2. Build a collection channel using water or a funnel design to push creepers toward a drop shaft.

3. Add a fall damage section — drop them 3-4 blocks to leave them at low health, or higher if you want to use a one-hit kill method.

4. Stand at the collection point and hit weakened creepers to finish them off and collect gunpowder.

Why This Works Now

Since creepers can no longer break blocks, your farm structure remains intact even when dozens explode simultaneously. You don't need to build expensive blast-resistant chambers or keep the farm far from your base. This makes creeper farming significantly more efficient and accessible early in your playthrough.
