Understanding Creeper Behavior

No Creeper Grief Mod only prevents block destruction—creepers still deal full damage to you and other mobs. They remain dangerous in combat and can still destroy your health bar quickly if you're not careful.

Combat Preparation

1. Keep distance — creepers need to get close to detonate. Maintain at least 5-6 blocks of space when possible.

2. Wear protective armor — prioritize armor with high defense values. Blast Protection enchantment is still valuable against creeper explosions.

3. Use ranged weapons — bows or crossbows let you kill creepers before they approach. Aim for headshots when possible.

4. Build cover — create small shelters or use terrain features to block creeper blasts while you engage them.

5. Listen for the hiss — creepers make a distinctive sound before detonating. Use this as a warning to back away or sprint to safety.

Terrain Safety

While your buildings won't be damaged, you can still take knockback damage from nearby explosions. Stay alert in open areas and use natural cover when exploring.
