Choosing Between No Caves Versions

Understanding Version Differences

The data pack offers multiple versions to suit different playstyles. Choose based on which cave types you want to experience.

No Caves (Complete Removal)

Removes all cave generation—both old-style caves and new caves added in recent updates. Use this for a completely cave-free experience. Underground features like Mineshafts, Amethyst Geodes, and Strongholds still generate normally.

No Old Caves

Removes only the traditional cave systems from older Minecraft versions, while keeping the newer cave types. This gives you modern underground exploration without the classic sprawling cave networks.

Retro Caves (Only Old Caves)

Keeps only the classic cave generation style and removes newer cave types. This recreates the feel of older Minecraft versions while maintaining other underground structures.

Compatibility Note

All versions work with Large Biomes and Amplified world presets, giving you flexibility in world generation settings regardless of which version you choose.
