Enable or Disable Specific Visual Effects

Access Individual Effect Toggles

Open Shader Options and navigate to the effects section. NightOwl Shaders typically includes toggles for:

  • Dynamic shadows: Creates moving shadows from light sources
  • Water reflections: Adds subtle reflections to water surfaces
  • Bloom/glow: Enhances the brightness around light sources
  • Color grading: Adjusts overall color tone and saturation

Customize Your Look

Disable effects you don't want without affecting others. For example, you can keep dynamic shadows enabled while turning off bloom if you prefer a cleaner appearance. Each effect can usually be toggled independently, allowing you to build your ideal visual setup.

Save Your Preferences

Once you've configured which effects you want active, your settings are typically saved automatically. If you switch between different shader configurations or experiment with settings, remember that changes persist until you modify them again. Test your configuration in different lighting conditions—caves, forests, and nighttime—to ensure your chosen effects look good across all environments.
