Locating Quartz Deposits

Quartz ore spawns more frequently throughout the Nether with this datapack, making it much easier to gather for both building blocks and experience. You don't need to search as intensively as you would in vanilla.

Mine in open areas: Quartz generates well in the main Nether biomes. Explore the open netherrack expanses rather than focusing only on caves.

Check cave walls: The improved cave generation creates more accessible mining opportunities. Quartz often appears on cave walls and ceilings, so look up while exploring.

Use Fortune tools: Bring a pickaxe with Fortune III to maximize drops from each ore block. Quartz is valuable for both XP farming and building, so efficiency matters.

Efficient Harvesting

Since quartz spawns more scattered, you can gather it while doing other activities like searching for ancient debris or exploring. The increased spawn rate means you'll accumulate quartz naturally without dedicated farming runs. Collect it whenever you encounter it during other Nether activities.
