Customize Heart Colors to Match Your Playstyle

Finding the Heart Texture Files

The New Hearts Resource Pack stores its heart textures in a dedicated folder within the pack. Navigate to the pack's directory and locate the textures/gui/hearts folder. Here you'll find the individual PNG files that control how your health display appears.

Editing Heart Colors

Open any heart texture file in an image editor (Photoshop, GIMP, or even Paint.NET). The pastel colors are already applied, but you can adjust the hue, saturation, and brightness to create your own custom palette.

Key tips:

  • Keep the texture dimensions unchanged to avoid stretching
  • Maintain transparency where the original pack uses it
  • Test your changes in-game by reloading the resource pack
  • Save as PNG to preserve quality

Applying Your Changes

After editing, save your modified textures back into the same folder. Restart Minecraft or use the resource pack reload function (F3 + T) to see your custom colors immediately. Your personalized hearts will now display in your HUD without affecting any other game elements.
