Preparing for Nether Exploration with Fireproof Gear

Essential Fireproof Setup

The Nether is full of lava and fire hazards. Before entering, enchant your most important items with Fireproof:

• Your best pickaxe (for mining ancient debris or other valuables)
• Sword for combat
• Boots and chestplate for protection
• A Fireproof Shulker Box for storing rare drops

Building a Safe Route

While Fireproof protects items, it won't save you from lava damage. Combine it with:

• Fire Resistance potions
• Protective armor enchantments (Protection, Blast Protection)
• Careful bridge-building over lava lakes

Recovering from Accidents

If you fall into lava, your Fireproof items will remain on the ground. This safety net lets you explore more confidently.
