Locating Ominous Vaults

Ominous Vaults are naturally generated structures found in the Overworld. Explore biomes like Deep Dark areas and ancient structures to find them. You'll recognize them by their distinctive appearance—they're the same vaults that normally contain valuable loot.

Opening the Vault and Getting Netherite

Approach the vault and open it using the standard vault-opening method. When the vault opens, items roll independently from the loot table. This means each item—whether it's Ancient Debris, Netherite Scraps, or a finished Netherite tool—has its own separate chance to drop.

You might receive:

• Raw materials (Ancient Debris, Netherite Scraps)
• Finished tools and weapons (swords, axes, pickaxes)
• Armor pieces (helmets, chestplates, leggings, boots)
• Rarely, a full Netherite Block

Tips for Success

Since each item rolls independently, opening multiple vaults increases your chances of finding Netherite rewards. Don't rely on a single vault opening—treat vault exploration as an ongoing activity alongside normal mining. The mod is designed so vault rewards complement rather than replace traditional Nether mining.
