Planning Your Vault Route

Map out multiple Ominous Vaults in your world before starting a farming session. Since each vault opening is independent, you'll want to visit several vaults in succession to maximize your material gathering. Mark their locations or create a path that connects them efficiently.

Gathering Strategy

Visit each vault and open it completely. Collect all dropped items—focus on Ancient Debris and Netherite Scraps, which have higher drop weights than finished items. These materials can be smelted and crafted into Netherite Ingots if needed.

Combining with Mining

Vault farming works best as a supplement to normal Nether mining. While vaults give you bonus Netherite materials without mining, traditional mining remains the primary way to gather large quantities. Use vaults as a rewarding exploration activity that occasionally yields rare finished gear or blocks.

Storage and Organization

Set up a dedicated storage area near your vault route to deposit materials between runs. This prevents inventory overflow and lets you track how much Netherite you've accumulated from vault exploration.
