Find specific Nether biomes on floating islands
Understand the new biome distribution
With floating islands enabled, Nether biomes are no longer mixed together. Each island tends to feature its own biome type—Crimson forests, Warped forests, Soul sand valleys, and Basalt deltas each appear as distinct floating landmasses rather than blended regions.
Search strategically
If you're looking for a specific biome, travel outward from your base in one direction. Islands are scattered across the Nether, so you may need to journey some distance. Use the distinctive block colors and vegetation to identify biome types from a distance—Crimson forests are reddish, Warped forests are blue-green, Soul sand valleys are tan and flat, and Basalt deltas are dark and rocky.
Mark your route
Place torches or build pillars as you explore to mark safe paths back home. This prevents getting lost among the islands. If you find a biome you want to return to, note its coordinates and the islands you crossed to reach it.
Consider setting up waypoint bases on major islands to create a network of safe stops for future journeys.
