Maximize Performance on Low-End Systems
Shader Performance Tiers
Neon Grid Horizon is designed for low-end PCs, but you can optimize further. Open your shader settings and look for performance or quality presets. Select the lowest available tier if multiple options exist—this disables expensive effects like advanced reflections or shadow calculations while keeping the core neon aesthetic.
Disable Optional Visual Effects
Toggle off any optional features such as bloom, depth-of-field, or advanced lighting if your system struggles. The scanline effect itself is lightweight, so keep it enabled for the authentic look. Disable water reflections and reduce shadow distance if available.
Game Settings Adjustments
Pair shader optimization with Minecraft's native settings: lower render distance to 8–12 chunks, disable smooth lighting if needed, and reduce particle effects. Use Fast graphics mode rather than Fancy. These changes work alongside the shader to maintain playable framerates.
Monitor Your FPS
Use F3 debug screen to watch frame rates while exploring different biomes. If performance dips below your target, reduce render distance further before disabling shader features.
