Enhance Building Visibility in Neon Colors
Understanding Neon Block Appearance
Neon Grid Horizon shifts block colors toward purple, pink, and cyan tones. This can make it harder to distinguish similar blocks or see fine details in builds. The shader's lighting model emphasizes glow over shadow, which flattens some visual depth.
Using Contrast Through Color Choice
When building, select blocks that contrast well in the neon palette. Pair dark blocks (like obsidian or deepslate) with bright neon-reactive blocks (like glowing blocks or light sources). Avoid building with many mid-tone blocks of similar hue, as they'll blend together under the shader's color grading.
Positioning Light Sources
Place light sources (torches, lanterns, glowstone) strategically to define edges and shapes. The shader amplifies emissive blocks, so they'll stand out clearly. Use them to outline structures or highlight important details.
Adjusting Shader Brightness
If the overall scene feels too dark or washed out, check your shader settings for brightness or exposure controls. A slight increase can help distinguish building details without losing the synthwave aesthetic.
