Embedding Recipe Previews

The Knowledge Codex mod lets you show crafting recipes directly on guide pages without leaving the book interface.

1. In your Markdown file, use the recipe component syntax to reference a crafting recipe

2. Specify the recipe by its registry name or ID

3. The mod automatically renders a visual crafting grid showing all ingredients and the output item

4. Players can hover over individual slots to see item tooltips and exact stack sizes

Best Practices

Place recipes near relevant text sections so readers understand context. Group similar recipes together on one page to reduce scrolling. Use callout boxes (info, tip, warning) above recipes to explain why players might need them. The mod caches recipe data at startup, so complex pages with many recipes load instantly without lag.
