Configure Mod Settings and Options
Accessing Mod Configuration
Many mods include configuration files that let you customize their behavior without reinstalling them.
1. Launch the game with your mods installed
2. Look for a config folder in your game directory (created by NeoForge)
3. Mods store their settings in .toml, .json, or .cfg files within this folder
Editing Configuration Files
1. Open a configuration file with a text editor (Notepad, VS Code, etc.)
2. Look for settings with comments explaining what they do
3. Change values according to your preferences (true/false for toggles, numbers for quantities)
4. Save the file
5. Restart your game for changes to take effect
In-Game Configuration Menu
Some mods add a configuration screen accessible from the Mods menu:
1. Open the Mods button from the title screen
2. Find your mod in the list
3. Click its config button (if available)
4. Adjust settings through the GUI
5. Changes typically apply immediately or after restart
Always back up configuration files before making major changes, in case you need to revert.
