Install and Enable a Shader Pack

Locating Your Shader Pack Folder

Shader packs are stored in a specific directory on your computer. Open your Minecraft instance folder, then navigate to shaderpacks. If this folder doesn't exist, create it manually.

Adding and Activating Shaders

1. Download a shader pack (usually a .zip file) from a shader repository

2. Place the .zip file directly into your shaderpacks folder — do not unzip it

3. Launch Minecraft with Neoculus installed

4. Open Options → Video Settings → Shaders

5. You'll see a list of available shader packs in the folder

6. Click on any shader to select it; the game will apply it immediately

7. Adjust shader-specific settings using the Shader Options button if available

Compatibility Note

Neoculus runs OptiFine shader packs without requiring any conversion or modification. If a shader pack worked with OptiFine, it will work here. You can switch between shaders at any time without restarting the game.
