Understanding Your Objectives

The map guides you through specific mission objectives that mark your progression. These aren't optional—completing them is how you advance the story and ultimately survive the outbreak.

Check your objective log regularly to see what you need to do and where to go. Objectives typically involve reaching specific locations, defeating zombie groups, or collecting items from dangerous areas.

Navigating Between Objectives

Follow the path through the ruined city carefully. Stick to routes that feel defensible and avoid getting surrounded. If an area feels too dangerous, backtrack and find an alternate route or prepare better before returning.

Clear zombies ahead of you as you move. Don't run blindly into new areas—scout carefully and engage enemies one group at a time when possible.

Completing Objective Tasks

Once you reach an objective location, read any signs or markers that explain what's needed. Defeat all required enemies, collect specified items, or interact with marked structures. Some objectives may require you to survive waves of zombies or defend a location.

After completing each objective, move immediately toward the next one. Staying mobile reduces the risk of being overwhelmed by reinforcing zombie groups. Completing all objectives leads to the map's ending.
