Fixing NBT Autocomplete Not Showing Suggestions in Commands
Check the basics first
If suggestions stop appearing, confirm you are actually inside an NBT context — the mod only activates after an opening { in a command that accepts NBT, such as /summon, /give, /data, or /execute. Typing a tag name outside braces will not trigger anything.
Next, verify the command itself is valid up to that point. A misspelled entity ID, item ID, or selector will prevent the mod from knowing which tag set to suggest. Try the command with a known-good ID to see if suggestions return.
Rule out conflicts and settings
If the command is correct but nothing shows, another mod that overrides the command suggestion UI may be interfering. Temporarily disable other command-helper or chat mods to test. Also check the mod's own configuration screen (usually reachable from the mod list) — there may be a toggle for suggestion behavior or a keybind that opens the list manually.
Finally, make sure you are running a game version the mod supports. Because NBT Autocomplete is client-side, it does not need to be on the server, but it does need to match your client's command syntax. If suggestions work for one entity but not another, that is expected — the mod only knows tags the game exposes for that type.
