Using Natural Texture Pack with Mods and Other Resource Packs
Establish Pack Priority Order
When combining the Natural Texture Pack with other resource packs:
1. Go to Options → Resource Packs
2. Arrange packs in order of priority (top = highest priority)
3. Place Natural Texture Pack above packs you want to override, or below if you want other packs to take precedence
4. Test your world and adjust order if textures don't appear as expected
Compatibility Considerations
- Shader packs: Natural Texture Pack works with most shaders, but warm tones may shift under different lighting. Test combinations in Creative mode first
- Mod textures: Mods that add new blocks may not have Natural Pack textures. Those blocks will use vanilla or mod defaults
- UI packs: If another pack modifies menus, place it above Natural Texture Pack to preserve custom interfaces
- Conflicting packs: Avoid stacking multiple console-style packs, as they'll conflict over the same textures
Test Before Long Sessions
Load a test world with your mod setup active and verify that:
- New mod blocks display correctly
- No textures appear broken or misaligned
- Performance remains acceptable
This prevents surprises during extended gameplay.
