How to Use the Four Leaf Clover and Lucky Rock for Better Drops
Luck-based
trinkets like the
Four Leaf Clover and
Lucky Rock are easy to underestimate, but they can noticeably improve loot from chests, mob drops, and fishing. Here is how to actually use them.
Equipping Luck Trinkets
Place the
Four Leaf Clover or
Lucky Rock in a trinket slot. They apply a luck effect to the player while equipped, similar to the vanilla Luck potion effect. This affects
things like fishing loot quality and the chance of bonus drops from certain sources. You do not need to activate them; just having them equipped is enough.
Where Luck Helps Most
Luck shines when you are fishing for treasure, opening loot chests in structures, or farming mobs that drop rare items. Equip the trinket before you start the activity, not after. For fishing, cast with the trinket on and you will see more enchanted books, bows, and name tags instead of junk. For structure loot, open chests while wearing it to bias rolls toward rarer entries.
Tips
- Stack multiple luck sources if the mod allows it, but check that effects do not cancel out.
- Luck does not guarantee rare drops, so do not expect a diamond every chest.
- Combine with the
Experience Magnet so you also vacuum up XP while farming. - Keep the trinket on during boss fights for slightly better drop rolls.
